Install RankPine in Shopify Admin and publish native Shopify blog articles as drafts, live posts, or scheduled posts.
RankPine runs as an embedded Shopify app and publishes native articles to your Online Store blog. It does not add storefront JavaScript, edit your theme, or ask for access to products, orders, or customers.
Install through Shopify Admin
Open the RankPine installation page
Start from the RankPine installation link made available for your shop while signed in to the Shopify store you want to connect. Shopify opens the approval screen inside Shopify Admin.
If RankPine is not available for your shop yet, email [email protected]. Do not create a Shopify custom app or send an Admin API token.
Review and approve access
Shopify shows the content permission RankPine needs to find your blogs and create or update articles. Choose Install to continue. RankPine does not request product, order, customer, analytics, or theme access.
Continue in the embedded app
Shopify opens RankPine inside Shopify Admin and creates an isolated RankPine workspace for that shop. There is no separate RankPine or Google sign-in, and you do not need to copy credentials between the two services.
Manage Shopify from Shopify Admin
The Shopify connection is installed, configured, and billed inside the embedded app. The Shopify card in the main RankPine dashboard is status-only; it is not a second connection flow.
Complete onboarding
RankPine first reads your public storefront and sitemap to prepare an editable store profile. The three onboarding steps cover:
- Brand and market — review your niche, store summary, audiences, positioning, and competitors.
- Writing — choose article length, tone, and any standing instructions.
- Publishing — choose the Shopify blog and how articles should publish.
A Shopify blog is a collection of blog posts. Most stores should select their existing blog, often named News. You can create a separate blog, such as RankPine SEO, if you deliberately want SEO articles separated from company news; creating one is optional.
After you save the publishing step, Shopify opens its hosted plan selection. Topic planning and generation remain paused until Shopify confirms an active trial or subscription.
Choose a publishing mode
You can change the target blog and publishing mode later under RankPine → Settings → Publishing in Shopify Admin.

The article includes its title, URL handle, summary, tags, sanitized HTML, inline images, and a separate featured image for Shopify blog cards and social previews.
Update an existing article
RankPine records the Shopify article ID and adds an app-owned identifier to each post. When the same RankPine article is sent again, it updates that Shopify article instead of creating a duplicate. If the URL handle changes, Shopify is asked to redirect the old handle to the new one.
Retries use those same identifiers. A temporary error after Shopify accepts a request cannot silently create a second copy of the article.
Billing belongs to Shopify
The embedded app uses Shopify App Pricing. The shop owner approves the monthly or yearly plan, changes or cancels it, and receives billing records through Shopify. RankPine checks the entitlement server-side and pauses new generation and publishing whenever Shopify cannot confirm an active plan.
Pausing RankPine publishing does not cancel the Shopify plan. Open RankPine → Billing to change the plan through Shopify.
Already paying RankPine directly?
Do not start a second subscription. Email [email protected] so we can verify both the RankPine account and the Shopify shop and arrange a safe transition. Accounts are never linked by contact email alone.
Pause or uninstall
Use RankPine → Settings → Connection to pause generation and publishing without removing your settings or article history. Resume from the same screen when you are ready.
To revoke Shopify access completely, open Shopify Admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels, select RankPine, and uninstall it. Uninstalling immediately disables future RankPine publishing and removes the stored Shopify sessions. Articles already created in Shopify remain in your store. When Shopify later sends its required data-redaction request, RankPine deletes the app-created workspace and its stored data.
