The pitch is end-to-end automation: it researches keywords in your niche, writes a daily article, generates on-brand images, and publishes straight to your CMS. It supports more publishing targets than anyone else — WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, Wix, Notion, Ghost, Next.js, and a custom API — and writes in 150+ languages.

Its most distinctive feature is the Backlink Exchange: a cross-customer network that places links between Outrank users' sites, bundled into every plan. The company claims over 750,000 articles created and 25,000+ backlinks placed. There's also a $1,399/mo Human Curated add-on where professional editors review every article before it ships.

The trade-off shows up in the content itself. Outrank optimizes for shipping volume, and reviews consistently mention articles that need 20–45 minutes of human editing before they're publishable — repetitive phrasing, generic structure, and the occasional article that paraphrases one published a few days earlier.

RankYak, built by two-person Dutch company Height Labs (Lars Koole and Allan de Wit), automates the full monthly loop: it generates a keyword plan with topic clustering, writes and publishes one article a day, embeds YouTube videos and infographics, and builds backlinks through a private exchange network. It publishes to WordPress, Shopify, Wix, and Webflow, plus Zapier, Make, RSS, webhooks, and an API.

Its smartest feature is how it uses Google Search Console: RankYak reads your GSC data when planning keywords, explicitly to avoid cannibalizing terms you already rank for. The agency motion is also well built — automatic volume discounts step the per-site price from $99 down to $79 at 20+ sites, with per-client projects and consolidated billing.

What's missing is everything after the draft: there's no real in-app editor (just a draft-review option), no per-article SEO scoring, and no rank tracking. And the company is young enough that there's almost no independent proof — zero G2 reviews and, notably, no public sample articles to judge the writing by.

RankPine connects to your website, researches your niche and competitors, and publishes one genuinely good article to your CMS every day. The difference is what happens between research and publish: every article goes through multiple editing passes that cut filler phrases, check claims against sources, and rewrite anything that reads like it came from a template.

Paid sites can also opt into Backlink Exchange. Each site gets 100 monthly credits for relevant placements, with controls for referring-site Domain Rating and source language. Links are inserted only when they fit an existing sentence naturally, checked after publishing, and refunded if a placement is rejected or later disappears.
